Message from your Chairperson
The end of the Choir Year is approaching fast, and I just want to put pen to paper before we hit that landmark.
We have had a very successful year and all our concerts have been well attended and received by Patrons and other followers. I just want to thank you all for your hard work. None of these concert arrangements appear out the top of a hat, like a rabbit! We all have to work extremely hard, and to that end I would like to pay tribute to William Reynolds, our MD, and to Chris Samuel our deputy MD. You both make our practices very joyful occasions. Thank you.
And to our small, but hard working, committee: my thanks to you all. You all put everything into your committee work, and I understand all are willing to continue in the same role, if elected. And, if somebody elects me again, I hope to continue in the same vein. I must admit I thoroughly enjoy the work of Chair, but I put it down to the support I have received from Committee and choir members alike.
Our AGM is on the 5th September, followed by out first practice on 12th September, and on that occasion, we would be delighted to welcome new choristers. Please just come along to our first practice at 7 pm and make yourself known to a Committee Member. You will be very welcome.
Please enjoy what ‘summer’ we have left, and I look forward to seeing all choristers at the AGM, in the lower hall.
